Visit Musee National d’Histoire et d’Art and gaze at the enormous Roman Mosaic and exhibitions presented over six floors, including the painting gallery which is home to the work of Joseph Kutter – one of the most important Luxembourgish painters. Step inside the beautiful Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Luxembourg, admire the hanging tapestries and church organ and descend into its creepy crypt.
Visit the Palais Grand-Ducal and, during summer months, you can also book a guided tour and admire jewellery and art exhibits within the building. The recently restored building is a 16th century structure which is the city residence of the Grand Ducal family. Hop off and visit The Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean opened in 2006. This impressive building offers 6000 square metres of exhibition space on whichyou can peruse exhibitions comprising paintings, photography, design, graphic arts and multimedia. If you’re looking for a shopping experience, then stroll around the Galerie Kons SA mall. Stop by and appreciate the flora, fountains and tranquillity in Parc de Ville or nearby Parc Ed Klein.
