Prague Beer and Tapas Tour - Small Group Adventure

from £60 per person

Go on a culinary tour of Prague! Discover the history of the city, as you enjoy traditional Czech beer and tapas along the way.

Your expert local guide will lead you to the best beer gardens and pubs in the city – he knows which tram and metro rides you need to take.

At the end of the night, you’ll get a Prague Beer Map, so you can continue exploring the top beer joints in town on your own.

The Prague Beer Tour

Begin your tour at the historic Wenceslas Square (Václavské námestí). Learn about the turbulent events that took place in this very spot during the Velvet Revolution in 1989 that ended the Communist regime.

Beer Tour Stop 1: Discover the world of Czech Beer

Step inside Prague’s nightlife. Visit Zizkov, a former industrial suburb, also known as the #localsknow area. The district has more than 300 pubs in just 5 square kilometres!

Your guide will lead you to one of their favourite local beer halls. Experience the unique atmosphere of the place, as you look at pictures of the Communist Czech presidents, hung all over the walls. Hear fascinating stories about life under Communism, as you enjoy the first beer of the night.

Explore the world of Czech beer! Choose from 10 different kinds – taste the most famous Czech brands and discover the lesser known local brew.

Get a Czech speciality to go with your beer - try the delicious pork chili beer tapas, served with horseradish and mustard on the side.

Beer Tour Stop 2: Microbrewery beers in the Vinohrady district

Every city has some great places that you’d never find without the help of a local. Luckily, you have one as your guide.

Catch the tram and discover one of Prague’s hidden gems at Vinohrady. This homely beer cellar and garden offers a variety of 27 different Czech microbrewery beers!

Overwhelmed by the choice? Your guide is there to give you advice. Whatever you pick – do as the Czechs do: have it with a pickled sausage, served with onion and pepper.

Beer Tour Stop 3: A mystery location!

Up for something exciting? The 3rd stop of the tour will be decided on the day - chat with your guide, find out what’s on in the city and explore the hottest spots in town.

Beer Tour Stop 4: Pilsner Urquell in the Old Town

Next, you’re off to the Old Town. Hop on the metro and make your way to the legendary pub where the Pilsner Urquell draught was tasted for the very first time in 1843.

Learn about the history of the Czech Republic’s most popular beer in the unconventional atmosphere of this church-turned-pub and, of course, sample the goods!

Drink Pilsner Urquell from a tank rather than a keg, and find out if it really tastes better. Don’t miss out - it’s not easy to find this kind of beer abroad.

With that much great beer it’s time for another Czech tapas - finely smoked pork neck with homemade potato pancakes and Bohemian-style white cabbage. It’s a true Bohemian delicacy!

Beer Tour Stop 5: One for the Road

Last on your list is a cosy new brewery pub near the Old Town square. Enjoy one last free beer and raise a toast to a great night with your new friends.
